By a registered specialist!
All-on-4 has become a very popular option for patients who are looking to replace a full arch of teeth. Many patients are attracted to this treatment through its heavy media exposure but don’t fully understand the range of alternate options that may be more appropriate for them and their condition.
Implant planning, placement and restoration fall within prosthodontics. Any general dentist can legally perform implant treatment, a registered specialist prosthodontist is trained at specialist competency level in all options of tooth replacement therapy including All-on-4.
Dr. Beresford is an expert in this topic, being both a registered specialist and published author in an international peer reviewed journal trialling both fixed and removable prosthesis. Not all patients choose the fixed option (Beresford and Klineberg JOMI 2018).

An Explanation of Costs
All-on-4 is a trademark of Nobel Biocare and requires the use of genuine Nobel implants and components. Here at The Smile Pros we do this in the mandible (lower jaw) for $16,950 complete.
This Includes:
- Remaining extractions
- Implant placement
- Provisional bridge (fitted in one day)
- Final impressions
- Final titanium re-enforced bridge
Following your implant placement, you will walk out with fixed temporary teeth. During your follow-up appointment, the final impressions will be made and the final bridge fabricated.
An alternate similar technique is ‘Fixed-On-4’ implant supported replacement teeth from a registered specialist for $14,950, using generic implants.
All treatments include a 5 year warranty on the implants and prosthesis.
Implant-Supported Dentures
Implant-supported dentures are removable to clean. As the name suggests, supported and retained to the mouth using a variable number of implant fixtures and attachment systems. In the lower jaw, one implant is enough to improve the quality of life for many patients however two implants are the most common treatment worldwide. With two implants there is some rotation around the axis between the implants. Although many patients are very satisfied about 10 to 15 % of patients are not. Increasing the number of implants to three implants or more reduces rocking and provides greater stability.
In the upper jaw, 4 implants are the minimum recommended for success and if the implants are small a bar may be required to link and share the load of individual implants.
Your suitability for implant-supported dentures and the type of implant-supported dentures you receive will depend on your specific condition.
3 implants with attachments – approx. $5000*
2 implants – approx. $4000*
*This does not include any work to the denture.
An alternative (without implants) is high quality conventional dentures provided by a prosthodontist.
